Brett Favre Retires

On October 10, 1969, a young boy was born in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was raised in a small town named Kiln, Mississippi. Well, that little boy, became the great quarterback, Brett Favre, of the Green Bay Packers. He Started every game for the Packers from 1992-2007. During that span, the Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl XXXI. They also advanced to the following Super Bowl, yet lost. In 2008, Favre retired for the first time. However, he returned, from retirement, to play for the New York Jets, during the 2008 NFL Season. The Jets missed the playoffs that year, and he retired again. However, he returned from that retirement and joined the Minnesota Vikings. The season he had with the Vikings was his best ever. He passed for 4202 yards, had an average Quarterback Rating of 107.2, and completed 68% of his passes. The Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship. If it wasn't for six fumbles and a few controversial questionable calls, the Vikings would have advanced to the Super Bowl. However, despite all the fumbles, and all the bad calls, (Favre himself has acknowledged this), if he didn't throw that INT, things would've been much different. Well, does this star end his career on an INT? You may be wondering that right now. However, I don't think about how his career ended(that INT), I just remember all that was good about it. So, NFL fans, I hope you have enjoyed watching Brett Favre as much as I have. Because that NFC Championship game against the New Orleans Saints on January 24, 2010 was, indeed, his last game.

If you watched the game last night between the Reds and Cardinals, you know exactly what happened. If you didn't, watch this:

Basically, all that^ was about, was Brandon Phillips of the Cincinnati Reds said the Cardinals are a bunch of bitches and they(the Cardinals) didn't like it. And it got heated, before the game had started. The Reds lost that game 8-4, and lost today's game 6-1. Baseball is generally a boring sport, however, after that fight, I bet lots of people are watching now.

Jets Will Win The Super Bowl

According to Rex Ryan, that is. Last year the Jets were one game away from the coveted Big Game. If it wasn't for a lot of injuries to key players on the defense, they would have won the AFC Championship. This year, they may be losing one of their best players(if not the best), Darelle Revis. He is holding out because he feels he deserves more money than they are giving him. I sincerely hope he comes back to the team, because without him, let's be serious, the Jets will not make the playoffs. Well, we'll just keep our eyes and ears open, waiting for the latest as far as Darelle Revis is concerned. As for tonight, check out Hard Knocks on HBO at 10 PM EST/PST, featuring, the one and only New York Jets.

Yankees Edged By Red Sox!

In case you haven't heard, the Redsox edged the Yankees 2-1. The Red Sox are six games behind the Yankees, yet that did not matter in today's contest as the Red Sox defeated the Yankees. The playoffs are coming soon, and if the Red Sox want to make it, they need to do a lot better. The other games today include: White Sox against the Orioles; Rays against the Tigers; Cardinals against the Reds; Braves against the Astros; Diamondbacks against the Brewers; Royals against the Angels; A's against Mariners; Cubs vs. Giants.

Cowboys Vs. Bengals Today

The Hall of fame game will take place today. It will feature the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Bengals. For the Dallas Cowboys, this game means something. It means that they will say "hello" to their former teammate, Terrell Owens. Everybody remembers the drama in Dallas with Terrell Owens. That is why this pre-season game will be very exciting. The Bengals will showcase their new team to the world, and so will the Cowboys. This being a pre-season game, it doesn't matter who wins, but it's still worth watching. So, enjoy the game tonight.

NFL Season Just Weeks Away

Are you ready for some football? I sure am. This year the NFL season will be better than years in the past. Prepare to see some of the best football you have ever seen in your lifetime. The Cowboys are looking to attack, the Vikings want revenge from last year's NFC Championship, the Jets want to top the AFC, and the Denver Broncos want to prove they were right with drafting Tim Tebow in the first round. No matter what your favorite team is, FOOTBALL is going to be great this year. Just sit back, and wait patiently. Only one more month before the NFL Season starts.

Shaquille O'Neal to Celtics

In case you haven't heard yet, Shaquille O'Neal is playing for the Boston Celtics next season. I know, you are thinking the same thing I'm thinking: "why has an allstar player like Shaq been on so many teams?" Indeed, Shaq has played for the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers(his best years), the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics(now). I guess we shall wait and see what happens next with his career. Personally, I think he should have retired in 2006 after the Miami Heat won that year's championship, but I guess he thought otherwise.

Super Bowl XLIV is only 2 days away!

How are you guys feeling today? I'm feeling great. Two Days, one hour, and 48 minutes until kick off. Let's get ready for the game. I shall break it all down for you right now. Who's gonna win, at each and every position(or just phase). First of all, the offense of both teams:

Colts:

Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning. That's it. That's the Colts' offense right there. Without him, theirs no such thing as "offense" for the Colts. He's a great passer who can throw the deep ball very well. He reads blitzes and knows the defenses of opposing teams very well. Look out for him to have a great game this Sunday.

Saints:

Well, for the Saints, I'm not exactly gonna type Drew Brees' name three times like I did for Manning. However, their offense is explosive enough to blow the game wide open. If you want an example of that, watch highlights from their week 12 game against the Patriots, and their divisional round game against the Cardinals. In those two games, they scored 83 points(38 against the Patriots and 45 against the Cardinals) and only allowed 31 points(17 points by the Patriots and 14 by the Cardinals). The Saints can do the same exact thing to the Colts, if they keep Manning off the field(Colts' defense is very questionable...personally, I think they're only good against teams with lackluster offense, i.e, Ravens and Jets). They just have to run the ball(they were more successful when run the ball than when they didn't), a lot and throw every now and then to keep the scoring high.

Edge: Saints

Now what about the Defense:

Colts:

Dwighty Freeney is not going to play in the game. Well, he might, but he won't really be a factor with that injury. So, the Colts will have to step up with another player in his spot. I think the Colts have what it takes with or without Dwight Freeney. They have been playing without Bob Sanders and have been fine, so I don't think they are really worried about him missing. However, the Saints can run the ball. The Colts are not good at stopping the run. They will be in trouble this Sunday, unless of course, it rains. The last time the Colts were in the Super Bowl, it rained and they won. I think rain was good luck for the Colts, and it stopped the Bears from having a great running game.

Ok, enough about luck, let's talk about the Saints' defense:

Turnovers are what the Saints cause all the time in games. If they win the turnover differential, they are winning the game. That's it, nothing else has to be said about their defense. Darren Sharper is a great corner and he might get some INTs from Manning this Sunday. And there may be some Colt fumbles recovered by the Saints. Look for them to have a great game

Cluth Player:

Saints: The Saints don't really have a clutch player. I don't care what you Saints' fans say, but there's nobody on the Saints that's a clutch player. If the game needs to be won in the last few minutes, there's nobody on the Saints who can do it. The only reason the Saints won against the Vikings is because Brett Favre gave the game away. For the Saints, if they're not up by atleast, atleast, 28 points going into the 4th quarter, they'll lose the game. You wanna know why? I'll tell you why... Peyton Manning is on the Colts.

Colts: Peyton Manning will be watching the game. There's no way the Saints will score a lot of points while Peyton is watching on the sidelines without him making some adjustments. I think Peyton will make sure the Saints stay off the field. He's the best at doing that. He is a clutch player that even if they're down by three touchdowns, they can still win the game because of him. He is also the reason why I'm picking the Colts to win this game.

Edge: Colts(for the WIN!!)

My thoughts on Super Bowl XLIV are, that it's sad. I wanted to see the cinderellas go at it in the super bowl. By "cinderellas" I mean the Jets, and Brett Favre. The Jets were the surprise team. They were a team that wasn't even supposed to be in the playoffs, but somehow, they made it. Brett Favre was "retired" however, he came back to the NFL for a shot at the title, once again. In case you don't know how the AFC and NFC Championships went, take a look:

Now that you have seen the video, you know what happened in those games. Congratulations, Colts and Saints fans, you're going to the Super Bowl. However, for me, as a fan of both the Jets and Vikings, I'm not really happy about the Super Bowl this year. This is the first time that I can remember, when both teams that I wanted to win the AFC/NFC Championships both lost. The loss that hurt me more was the Vikings'. However, I guess I have to move on, and look forward to the Super Bowl. Well, let me do that then. What's today's date? It's Wednesday, January 27th 2010. Which means the Super Bowl is 11 days away. That is enough time to talk about who's gonna win, and who's gonna lose. Who might choke in the game, and who might surprise the viewers and more importantly the fans. It's Peyton Manning, going there for the second time in 4 years, vs. Drew Brees, who had a chance to go there three years ago, but is only going there for the first time. Undoubtedly, Peyton Manning is the better passer in this game, of the two. So, let's not even waste time on comparing them. However, football is a team sport. Having the best quarterback will not help you if the defense stinks. So, the Colts' D will have to step up the way they did against the Jets and the Ravens to win this game. For the Saints, they have to utilize the running game a lot more than they did against the Vikings. Why, you ask? Because the Colts struggle stopping the run. If Shonn Greene didn't get injured, I think the Jets would've won the game. If the Saints run, the Saints will win, PERIOD! However, they may not run as much because they have a high flying offense and love to throw all over the field. I think if the Colts' secondary allowed the Jets to get an 80 yard TD pass, they are in deep, deep trouble against the Saints. We shall see who wins the game. However, come back here everyday and see my updates on what I think will happen.

Arizona Beats Green Bay in a Wild Card offensive fight

This game between the Cardinals and the Packers will go down as one of the wildest wild-card games in NFL history. It started off with Cardinals up 17-0. Everybody, then, was sure the Cardinals would win easily, right? Wrong! The Packers erased a 21 point deficit and tied the game at 38 pts. The Cardinals answered back with another TD to make it 45-38. Then the Packers answered back with their offensive attack and tied the game at 45. With about 1:40 left in the game, the Cardinals had one last chance to drive down the field and in during regulation. They got within field goal range, however their kicker missed. We're headed to overtime. I was about to have a heart attack at that point. Overtime coin-toss was done. The Packers won it. So, with the Cardinals defense struggling for the majority of the game, chances for their team winning were slim. However, with help from a penalty, the ball was backed up to the ten yard line of the Packers. Then on 3rd down and 5, the Packers' QB fumbled the ball, and Karlos Dansby of the Cardinals recovered, ran it in for the game winning TD, and the game was officially over. Most points scored in a playoff game, over 1000 yards combined, 13 td's, and the most exciting game of this wild card weekend, are ways to describe that thriller. Here's a highlight video:

There you have it. Minnesota is struggling down the stretch, although they came back from a 17 point deficit. Dallas looks good right now. The Colts rested their starters in the third quarter. The Broncos were close to beating the Eagles. Pittsburgh still has life in the playoff race after that win against divisional rival, Baltimore. Carolina has a rushing attack that the Giants were not ready for. TB and RM are back to the way they were in 2007. And the Saints are in deep trouble, after losing to the Buccaneers after leading by 17 points. The NFL season is over, and only 10 of the 12 playoff spots have been decided. CHARGERS VS. TITANS CHRISTMAS DAY

Jingle bells, Jingle bells, whatever, you say, it's Christmas day on Friday, let's have football on. Yea, that's right, the Chargers and the Titans are playing on Friday. It's a jolly treat for NFL fans. I can't wait for the game. I am hoping that the Titans would pull out the win. That's only hope though, seeing as the Chargers have won NINE in a row. We shall see what happens. Meanwhile, the playoff race is still on(that's why I'm hoping the Titans win). So, Happy Holidays, and enjoy the NFL.

NFL Week 15 Results

Week 15 of the NFL was very exciting. Starting with the Jaguars-Colts game and concluding with the Redskins-Giants game. They were many upsets, and plenty of playoff hopes either crushed or kept alive. These are the results of my picks from last Friday:

First off, I wrote the picks on Friday, therefore the Jaguars-Colts game was not part of them. So, here are the other 15 games:

Cowboys 24 Saints 17: What?? The Saints lost?? Who would've guessed? I did, that's right, I predicted the Cowboys will step up and win this game, because it was "do or die" for them.

Patriots 17 Bills 10: Patriots showed they could win on the road.
Cardinals 31 Lions 24: Cardinals should make the playoffs.
Dolphins 24 Titans 27: This came down to the wire, but the Titans prevailed.
Falcons 10 Jets 7: The Jets' playoff hopes are looking slim, the falcons' are dead.
Texans 16 Rams 13: The Texans still have a chance to make the playoffs? What?
Bengals 24 Chargers 27: The Chargers look unstoppable right now.
Raiders 20 Broncos 19: This was a great showing by the Raiders.
Packers 36 Steelers 37: This ended the Steelers' 5 game losing streak.
49ers 13 Eagles 27: The Eagles are hoping they will win the NFC East.
Bears 7 Ravens 31: The Ravens need to win their last two to make the playoffs.
Buccaneers 24 Seahawks 7: The Seahawks are not as good as they used to be.
Vikings 7 Panthers 26: Yes, you read it right.
Giants 45 Redskins 12: What happened to the Skins' defense?

There you have it. All the Scores from Week 15. The playoff race is on, especially in the AFC with the Jaguars, Dolphins, Jets, Steelers, Titans, and Texans all tied at 7-7. The NFC one is easier to explain. Cowboys win their last two, they win the NFC East. That will make the Eagles are wild card team. In the AFC, if the Ravens win their next two, all the other teams can kiss their playoff hopes goodbye, if the Broncos win out. It is very complicated right now, so we'll just keep watching and waiting to see what happens. Chargers vs. Titans is on NFL network on Christmas day. Happy Holidays.

The Colts are 14-0 will the Saints be 14-0 also?

Hello, NFL fans. I hope you're having a great holiday season. I am enjoying everything that's going on in the NFL, except for one thing. The death of Chris Henry, is truly a tragedy that is on all of our hearts. I send out my condolences to the family, and his grieving fiancé. I really hope that the Bengals will win the next three games in his honor, and make the playoffs as winners of the AFC North. Speaking of playoffs, we have an interesting situation in the AFC. Right now, I don't want to get into that, yet. I'll just focus on the game between the Colts and the Jaguars from last night. The Jaguars had their playoffs on the line. They had to win the last three games(including last night's), to get in. However, one loss, would mean that they would need help from some other teams' losing. Well, the Jaguars took the field in Jacksonville last night, against the Colts. After a moment of silence, for Chris Henry, the game started. The first possession for the Jaguars, was a time consuming possession. That was a smart thing to do, considering, Peyton Manning is the opposing quarterback. You don't want to give him a lot of time to score. The drive culminated in a field goal. The score was 0-3, Jacksonville. Then the Colts took the field, and what do you know? Peyton Manning had the ball, and he passed it to Dallas Clark, who made a circus catch, and the Colts were up 7-3. The Jaguars got back on offense, and they scored, making it 7-10, Jaguars. Then on the next kick-off, Chad Simpson returned it for a touchdown, making the score, 14-10, Colts. The Jaguars wouldn't go down, so they took the ball all the way down the field and scored again, making the score, 14-17, Jaguars. Colts got on offense again, and what do you know? Peyton Manning, has the ball. They also score making the score 21-17, Colts, at halftime. The third quarter started, and the Jaguars scored a touchdown, making the score 21-24, Jaguars. The colts then scored also, making it 28-24, Colts. The Jaguars then answered back with a touchdown, making the score, 28-31. This is the time when the game started to stall. Before that point, there were no punts, but then, the Colts punted(making the Colts punt is impressive) then the Jaguars punted too. After a while, Peyton Manning got tired of the foolishness and threw a 65 yard touchdown pass to his favorite target, Reggie Wayne. That made the score 35-31, Colts. The Jaguars had two chances to score and maybe win, but they couldn't do it. They lost control of their own destiny. The Colts are officially 14-0. This is Peyton Manning's first 14-0 season. The question now is, can the Saints also be 14-0? The answer to that will be revealed tomorrow. Saints vs. Patriots 11/30/2009

I said yesterday that the New England Patriots would win the game against the New Orleans Saints. I couldn't believe that they lost the way they did. Their defense was non-existant for most of the game. The offense was horrible for the most part. And when comparing the two teams' offense, the Saints looked like a high powered machine, whereas the Patriots looked like they were a high school team playing in the pros for the first time. I mean, were those guys the Patriots? Was that Tom Brady out there? I couldn't believe it. On the other end of the field, however, Drew Brees was passing all over the field. He had receivers catching for him like no other receivers in the NFL. Not only would they catch, but they would run it for the score. They probably held the ball a lot less time than the Patriots did. But that's because they took only about 10 seconds off the clock to score. What happened to the Patriots defense? Oh, I forgot, Tedy Bruschi retired. Anyway, you can now consider the Patriots out of the playoff picture. Or should you?? WE SHALL SEE.

Week 12 of the NFL

This has been the most exciting week of the NFL so far. Not only did the games take place on Thursday and Sunday, but we have a thriller coming up tonight with the Saints taking on the Patriots at home(Saints at home). The week started off with the Lions going against the Packers. That was a special thanksgiving game, which the Lions lost(34-12), of course. Then the Cowboys took on the Oakland Raiders(Cowboys won 24-7). I don't understand why the Raiders were playing on Thanksgiving. It's already bad enough that we have to watch the Lions every year while we chow-down our turkey, but putting on the Raiders as well? Come on, now. The night's game on NFL Network featured a hapless Giants team taking on the reeling Broncos. The Broncos Won 26-6. Then the games on Sunday afternoon were as follows:

This one was back and forth, at one point I thought the Buccaneers might pull an upset.

Tedy Bruschi Retires.

I've been blogging about baseball for the past few days. And I have forgotten, well not really forgotten, but have kind of gone away from the NFL a little bit. Well, today, I have news that Tedy Bruschi, linebacker for the New England Patriots has retired. After 13 seasons he decided that it was best for him to retire. He has 3 superbowl titles that he won alongside Tom Brady in 2001, 2003 and 2004(these are the seasons, super bowls were played in the following year). He, indeed, was a very good linebacker. I'm actually sad that he's gone. I remember in the 2007 season when the Patriots won every game of the season; he almost never let an opposing team's quarterback complete a pass. He was part of the reason why the Patriots did so well that season. He stated in the press conferece, "I'm 36 years old. Your body doesn't heal as quickly." (Associated Press). I believe that 36 years old and still playing the game of football is a great accomplishment for anybody. Football is a very physical game. One in which your life is on the line. Everybody remembers what happened to Kevin Everett of the Buffalo Bills in 2007. His career is over because of that injury. I think being susceptible to injury is one of the reasons Bruschi called it quits this year. He had a stroke in 2005 and he certainly doesn't want it to happen again, let alone, get worse. Many players retire without a championship. However, Tedy has the pleasure of retiring with three of them. Not only that, he is in good health and he can remember about all the great things he did on and off the field during his thirteen years as an NFL player. I remember back in 2008, right before Super Bowl XLII started; FOX had a feature into the life of Tedy Bruschi. They showed us what he does in his spare time. During the video, he was surfing and talking about a possible retirement(probably if the Patriots had won he would have retired then). The commentators said that after Tedy retires, he would go to the beach in San Diego and just surf away. I hope he does that today and enjoys his retirement. Of course, he is only 36, so he can go into another career or business. But for right now, surf's up dude!

Braves Vs. Phillies August 30, 2009

At the end of yesterday's post, I left you guys with only one prediction. That's right, one prediction. It was the only one that I could make for yesterday because when I got on to post a blog entry, all the other games had finished. Besides, I didn't plan on making a prediction for Sunday's games. I just wanted to post the results from my Friday's predictions. I realized that I only predicted fifty percent of Friday's games correctly. I promised to get better, gradually. However, since the Philadelpha Phillies won last night with a score of 2-3, I'm proud to say that I've finally predicted 100% of the games correctly. Ok, I know, it was only one game, but hey, the Phillies won, so I was 100% accurate about it. Anyway, I have some thoughts about the game. I promised to blog about my thoughts about yesterday night's game, and I won't disappoint you guys. Well, first of all, I'm happy that the Phillies won that game, because it's my favorite team. But I don't want to be biased here. The Atlanta Braves are a great team as well. If the Phillies were playing another team, the score would have been much different than it was last night. For example, if the Phillies played the Mets(no offense Mets fans) the score could've easily been 8-2, however, the Braves(Brave, indeed they are) held the Phillies to only three runs, despite losing the game at the end. I remember on thursday when the Braves beat the Padres 9-1. Even though the Padres are not very good, it still shows that the Atlanta Braves can score a lot of runs. However, they are no match for the Phillies. They are number one in the NL East and I think it will be tough for any team to stop them. I really have them winning the World Series again this year. Of course the Dodgers are out there as well. And the Yankees look like they might be a threat down the line. I'm sure you enjoyed Friday's games and Saturday's games as well. I've been out of town enjoying some baseball action as well. I was also getting ready for my fantasy football draft yesterday. Which is why I wasn't here to post the game results. However, I'm eager to see if I've improved my prediction skills at all, because for Thursday's games, I sucked. Anyway, let's get to it.

Today, Ladies and gentlemen, I'm glad to report to you that for Friday's games, I correctly predicted 7/14. That is fifty percent correct. I think this is my third post about predictions. The Season is just a few weeks away, and there's nothing more fun to do during the season, than fantasy football. This year I'll read some stats on websites like www.nfl.com or msn sports to help me out. I want to do really well this year because this season is probably going to be the best season of this decade. I think it has to be the best season of the decade, seeing as it's the last of the decade. The two weeks left feel like a lifetime to wait. In the meantime, I'm gonna go get ready for my draft this weekend and I'll see you guys during the season.

ONLY 2 WEEKS UNTIL THE SEASON STARTS

Guys, I'm sure you're enjoying the pre-season. After waiting six long months since the Steelers won Super Bowl XLIII, I'm sure pre-season football is better than no football. However, the real football starts on September 10th. That's right, only seventeen days away from the NFL season opener. I'm sure you're getting ecstatic to see the Champions going against the Titans on opening day. I sure can't wait. There are also other things to look forward to. For example, how well will Terrell Owens do with the Buffalo Bills? How good will Tom Brady be after leaving last season with an injury? Will he be as great as he was in 2007? What about Michael Vick? Will he live up to the hype that's been going on for the last few months? Then you can't forget about Brett Favre. What's going to happen in Minnesota, they've always needed a very good QB to compliment Adrian Peterson, now they have him. Will they dominate this year, finally? We all know how the Vikings get great in a season but then falter somehow in the end. So, will they finally be on top of the NFC, now that Favre is there? So many questions that are waiting to be answered. It's like waiting for a certain story on a soap opera to unfold. This NFL season really has too much pre-season hype that the seventeen days we have left seem like a lifetime. I can't wait to see the kick-off on September 10, 2009. Because after that moment, everything will await us. And of course, the ultimate question that will be in our minds all season which is, Who will win the Super Bowl? will eventually be answered. In 2007, everybody thought, no-doubt, the Patriots. The Giants stunned them. In 2008, teams like the Titans, Jets(in the early part of the season), and Giants repeating came to mind. However, the Steelers won their second in four years. So, the season has unexpected surprises for all of us. Which is why I can't wait. While you wait for it, check this video out.

AFC North and AFC South

The AFC North has two of the toughest teams in the NFL and the other two are probably the softest teams in the NFL. The AFC South, on the contrary, has pure God-given NFL talent in all four teams. That means that narrowing down the winner of the AFC North is a lot easier than narrowing down the winner of the AFC South.

1. AFC North:

Of course the two toughest teams I referred to earlier are the Steelers and Ravens. The other two teams are of course the Ohio teams(Bengals and Browns) that get no love in the NFL. The Steelers and Ravens go hard against each other season-in, season-out. Last year, the Steelers dominated every single contest against their division rival, the Ravens. However, this is a new year and the Ravens are out for blood this year, no doubt. Look out for the Ravens to get revenge for what happened last year. So, I pick the Baltimore Ravens to win the AFC North.

2. AFC South:

This division is probably one of the best to watch. Because even the teams that are doing the worst can end up defeating the teams that are doing the best. For example, back in 2006 when the Indianapolis Colts were on top of the divsion throughout the first half of the season, the Texans, Jaguars, and Titans each took turns at defeating the Colts, all because of the Colts lack of defending the run. Well this year, the Titans have the best defense out of all the four teams in this division. I don't see any of the teams in this division stopping the Titans from getting the division crown. So let's go TITANS.

NFC West and NFC South

Well, I love these two divisions because they have two of my favorite teams, Seahawks and Panthers. I love those two teams, so in predicting the respective winner of those two, I may be a little biased, but I think I'll still be right.

1. NFC West:

The 49ers no-doubt improved last year. The Cardinals were on top of the whole NFC surprisingly at the end of last season. The Rams, well the Rams suck right now. And the Seattle Seahawks, which is my favorite team were disappointing last year. I really think that this year the Cardinals will capitalize on their success from last year. They will win the NFC West.

2. NFC South:

Last year, the Carolina Panthers found themselves on top of this stellar division. The Saints had a chance, the Buccaneers did too, so did the Falcons. Well, the Falcons took a wild card spot, but couldn't stop the Cardinals, neither could, division winners, Panthers. This year is a new year however. I believe the Falcons' running game will help them get to the top of this division this year. The Panthers will most certainly not be as good as last year. And the Buccaneers are doomed after the firing of Jon Gruden. The Saints are lack-luster, so I don't think they'll get in the way of the Falcons winning the NFC South.

Who will win the AFC East, and who will come out on top in the AFC West?

1. AFC East:

This one should definitely be between how good the Bills are with Terrell Owens vs. how good the Patriots are with the return of Tom Brady. There's also the wildcat offense that helped the Dolphins win this division in 2008, but I don't think they will win it this year. What about the New York Jets, you ask? The Jets don't have a chance at winning this division this year, sorry Jets fans. So, who do I pick? I'm going with the New England Patriots for the AFC East this year, Tom Brady is back, and they are very good.

2. AFC West:

This is probably the worst division in the NFL. Meaning that every season, there are fewer wins among its members than any other division in the NFL. The Raiders suck, the Chiefs suck, and the Broncos are mediocre and inconsistent. The only good team in this division is the San Diego Chargers. Which is no surprise why they have won this division three years in a row, and four of the last five years. This year should be no different. I mean last year the Broncos had a very good chance of winning the division but blew it by losing to the Chiefs down the stretch and then eventually losing the deciding game against the Chargers(although we all know that Ed Hochuli blew a call that would've given the Chargers an early season win) allowing the Chargers to win the division. So this year, the Chargers will win the AFC West again.

Who's Ready for Some Football???

I'm gonna attempt to list the teams that I think will go as far as to win their respective divisions in 2009.

1. NFC EAST:

With the Cowboys losing T.O., and Plaxico going to prison soon, the Eagles will win this division

They have Donovan McNabb, who's one of the best quarterbacks today

and not to mention, Michael Vick his back-up is not a sleeper either. So look

out for good things to happen in Philly this year. I think they'll win that division(NFC East):

2. NFC NORTH:

This one is easy to predict. With the Lions coming off the worst season of any team in history, and the Packers and Bears being as inconsistent as ever, The Vikings Should take the NFC North Crown. They have Brett Favre, and they also have a great RB in Peterson.

Tomorrow I'll predict the AFC East(it's gonna be about T.B. and T.O.) and the dismal(no offense chargers) AFC West(that should be very interesting).

Will this Be the Best NFL Season?

Brett Favre Is Back

Two years ago, die-hard football fans heard words from the mouth of Brett Favre that they wish they would have never heard. Those words signaled an end of the Brett Favre-Green Bay Packers era. Based on how his 2007 season ended(with a dreadful interception at home, in overtime, against the New York Giants who would later win that game and the Super Bowl) was not the proper way for a Legend's career to end. So, during the off-season he announced that he would sign with the New York Jets. During last season, the Jets started of very well. But during the last month of the season, Everything collapsed, and the Jets didn't qualify for the post-season. So, our beloved Brett Favre called it quits again. But we all knew deep down in our hearts, that that wasn't the end of the Favre legacy. We knew that he would eventually come back again. Now he's on the Minnesota Vikings, a team that's rivals with his old team, the Green Bay Packers(somewhat because of being in the same division). Well, the news of Favre's return makes NFL fans wish for the beginning of the season even more now. Let's go VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!

He's been off the field for two years, but I'd expect him to be ready for the Grid-Iron. I don't expect him to start anytime soon, but atleast his career is not over, as I thought when he got convicted two years ago. We'll see him on the sidelines atleast, instead of a prison jump-suit. The First REAL NFL Game This Year

The first regular season game is none other than Titans-Steelers. This was the match-up that was supposed to take place had the Ravens lost the Divisional Playoff game last year. I really think the Titans can play very well against the Steelers. They are both defense oriented teams.(Offense Oriented teams will never beat Defense Oriented teams). The Titans spanked the Steelers last year in the latter part of the season, like they stole something. Well, one thing is for sure with the NFL; the PAST doesn't matter. You can count on that. So, guys, football fans everywhere, just get ready for a great Season Opener. Did I forget to mention that the Steelers are the CHAMPS? I guess I did.

Well this should make up for it.

The Yankees Man Handle Redsox Again??

Ok, first of all, I said it once, and I'll say it again. I don't dislike the people, but the sports, I can't stand. I mean, I can't stand sports teams from Boston. The Celtics, the Redsox, and the Patriots just bring chills to my spine. I think with these teams you either love them or you hate them, there's no in between. Well, I hate them. Which is why is brings me great pleasure to say that the Yankees just stomped on the Red Sox. Sorry Boston, but the Yankees are better than you. If it was one stomping, that would be ok, but in the four-game series, they won none. That's right none. Don't get me wrong, The 'sox had an eight-game winning streak against the Yanks. But that's history. I guess during the two months after the eight-game winning streak that Boston posted, the Yankees learned their lesson. And they also remembered, that the one thing, they absolutely should never do, for the rest of their MLB careers, is to lose to the Red Sox. For the Yankees, that's like a deadly sin. Well, I'm glad to see the Yankees took care of business. We'll see what happens in the future. There are still six more games between these two prolific teams. And I'm sure the fans can Hardly wait.

NFL Preseason Game 1. Bills-Titans

Even though this was a preseason game that really shouldn't mean much, it was an important game. This was the hall of fame game. During the first half, it looked like the Bills were being spanked by the Titans, and that they had no way of even coming close. However, the Titans simply just remembered that it's only Preseason and they toned it down in the second half. The Bills scored more field goals in the second half, to come within 3 points, but it was too little, too late. Final Score: Titans 21-Bills 18. The Bills should be glad about one thing, they can kick field goals very well. Kicking field goals very well can help a team that finds themselves in a jam at the end of a game. Super Bowl XXV should come to mind(the Bills know this one very well). The Bills can really win games this year. Especially since they have T.O. now. Look out AFC East, the Bills are going to attack. Oh wait, Tom Brady is back, isn't he?? Yes he is. Oh well, we can still pray for the Bills. The Hall of Fame certainly gave them some love this past weekend.

It's Friday August 7, 2009 and I just want to let you guys know, that the Yankees beat the Redsox. That's right, the Yankees handed it to the Redsox. (I don't like Bah-ston sports, LOL). The Dodgers beat the Braves, as I expected them to. The Padres beat the Mets. However, I predicted the Pirates to beat the Diamondbacks, but that didn't happen. I guess nobody is perfect. Meanwhile, here are my predictions for tonight's games:

Terrell Owens!

Well, if you've read my prior blog posts, you might think I have something against Terrell Owens.

Well, honestly, I think I do. First of all, he's a great wide-receiver. Very great, as a matter of fact, he's probably one of the best receiver today. However, what I don't like about him is his ego. Like it's always about him, him, him. Other great players in the NFL like Ladanian Tomlinson are humble. T.O. should take some lessons from those guys. For example, Plaxico Burress was the most humble guy prior to Super Bowl XLII. Look at what he achieved. He was part of a Giants team that defeated the "so-called" Goliath of that season, the previously unbeaten Patriots.

What he's involved in right now is a mess, but he still doesn't have the attitude that Mr. Terrell Owens has. Another great player in the NFL who's humble is none other than former player, Michael Strahan. He was my favorite player and he always believed in his teammates, something T.O. should learn to do in Buffalo, if he wants to win playoff games, or even greater, the Super Bowl.

I don't dislike T.O. I just think that he needs to be a better Team Player. Or else if he doesn't, he'll be remembered for the Controversies, not the great records and achievements he has accomplished. Anyway, in case you're wondering, I will get my popcorn ready this sunday, and whenever else the Bills(that's right, he's on an AFC team for a change) play. But I want to see a change in him; I want to see teamwork and effort on his part. And he could do without the drops this year, lol.

NFL Preseason First Week Predictions:

Football is here. And even though it's only preseason, I still love it a lot.

So, let's predict the games of the first week:

Bills vs. Titans: Titans definitely, sorry T.O. !(R.I.P Air McNair)

Patriots vs. Eagles: it's preseason, so Eagles

Redskins vs. Ravens: once again, it's preseason, so the Ravens, because it's at home. However, if this was the real season, I'd 100% pick the Ravens.

Cardinals vs. Steelers: Steelers will win this contest, no doubt.

Rams vs. Jets: Jets

Vikings vs. Colts: Vikings, because they can run.

Bengals vs. Saints: Saints ofcourse, no hope for Ohio, sorry. (no offense Ohio fans, but you all know the Bengals suck).

Broncos vs. 49ers: I like the 49ers so I pick them, but then again, it's only Preseason.

Falcons vs. Lions: In the jungle, the Lions will win, but in Detroit next Saturday, the falcons will maul the Lions all the way.

Bears vs. Bills: Bears

Browns vs. Packers: Packers should take this one(read 4 predictions above to see why)

Texans vs. Chiefs: The Chiefs will pull this one out, for many reasons, one of them being, it's preseason.

Bucs vs. Titans: Titans again.

Seahawks vs. Chargers: Chargers because they have this man: !

I'm gonna attempt to predict the W's and L's for each and every NFL team this season.

NFC West:

49ers: well they were good at the end of last year, so, I say about 9-7 and playoffs.

Seahawks: New Coach=6-10 enough said

Rams:5-11, sorry Ram fans

Cardinals:11-5 they'll be on top of this conference again, but with a better record than last year.

NFC East:

Cowboys: They'll be better without whining T.O. so 12-4

Giants: Without Plax, trouble alooms, so back to the 8-8 records of 3 years ago and prior

Eagles:11-5, they are a good team, really, they are.

Redskins: they'll be ok at 9-7, I think they'll grab the other wild card spot as the 49ers will too.

NFC North:

Packers: 10-6, it's really hard to tell what the Packers will do, before the season.

Bears: 13-3, the Bears will go back on top.

Vikings: 9-7, they have a great running back, but not much else.

Lions: 2-14, they'll win 2 more games this year than they did in the past 20 games.

NFC South:

Falcons: 9-7, they have a good team, but not a spectacular one.

Bucs: 6-10, this team is getting worse and worse.

Saints: 10-6, this is their year.

Panthers: 7-9, I'm sorry Cats, it doesn't look good for you.

AFC West:
Broncos: they disappointed me last year, so this year, I think they'll go 8-8.

Chiefs: sorry, but 3-13.

Raiders: once again, sorry, but better than Chiefs, 4-12

Chargers: back on top for them too, 12-4

AFC East:

Patriots: they should get back to the dominance of '07, but not perfection, 14-2.

Bills: T.O.?? Even with him, I still think they'll only win six games, so 6-10.

Dolphins: 8-8, they'll be ok, certainly not as bad as two years ago.

Jets: I'm sorry, but it will be a bad season, 5-11

AFC North:

Ravens: I think they'll have a good season, 11-5

Browns: No hope for cleveland, 5-11

Bengals: No hope for Ohio, for that matter, lol, 4-12

Steelers: These guys are tough, 12-4

AFC South:

Titans: They'll be good, not as good as last year though, 10-6

Texans: These guys will probably go 7-9

Jaguars: They can run, so, 9-7

Colts: These guys need to get it together, they've been inconsistent ever since winning Super Bowl XLI. They'll go 12-4 in the season, but who knows what their playoffs will be like?

There you have it, my official predictions. We'll keep checking them. I'll have more at midseason, because then I'll have better knowledge.

Baseball is going on right now, I love the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies beat the Rockies today, 3-1. Angels beat the White Sox, 9-5; Tigers beat the Orioles, 7-3; Nationals beat the Marlins, 12-8; Rangers beat A's, 6-4; Indians beat twins, 2-1. Coming up later tonight, Braves vs. Dodgers, I think Dodgers will take that one. Also tonight, there's Mets vs. Padres, I think Padres will win. The Mariners are playing the Royals, I think the Mariners will win. Yankees and Redsox, I hope the Yankees win, I don't like Bah-Ston. And Diamondbacks vs. Pirates, Pirates should win. That's all for baseball today. Hope you enjoy the games.

First Things First, T.O. on the Bills???

Terrell Owens is now on the Buffalo Bills. What I'm thinking to myself is that, first he was in San Francisco, he did very well, but then, he had arguments with the coaches and the team execs and left. Then he went to Philadelphia. The Eagles were really really good after they got him. However, his EGO got in the way of everything, and they had to let him go, with no Superbowl ring(although they made it to Super Bowl XXXIX). Finally, T.O. was a cowboy. A real Cowboy indeed. The team went from a lackluster NFC east club, to a season contender. That's right, the Cowboys were on top again, but what happened after the seasons? Well, in 2007(after 2006 season), Tony Romo dropped the ball, when he was holding it for the field goal, they lost that game by one point. In 2008(after the 2007 season), Who would've guessed that the Giants would be as good as they were, because they really handed it to the Cowboys that game. And we all know what happened in the 2008 season. They couldn't even make the playoffs after getting spanked by Philadelphia, with McNabb doing a touchdown dance, LOL. Anyway, the 'Boys promised T.O. will stay with the team. However, a few weeks later, we read the news that he was released. So pretty much in his last season, all T.O. did was complain that Tony Romo wasn't passing to him. But when they passed to him, he dropped it?? come on. I think T.O. is a great receiver, but he's a bad team player. We'll "get our popcorn ready" and see what he does with the Bills. But don't be surprised if he does the same things as he's done with previous teams. By the way, here's the video with McNabb's dance in that Season Finale game vs. the Cowboys last year:
